Private Safari Vehicle

Private Safari VehicleYour private safari with One More Adventure Safaris, comes with an exclusive use of a private safari vehicle driven by a professional driver guide.

You will have exclusive use of a private 4WD vehicle, driven by your guide. This is usually a Land Rover or Land Cruiser, with air conditioning and plenty of space for you and your luggage. A private safari means you will be traveling with your own private group (family/friends/partner) in one safari vehicle with your own private driver guide on a private trip.

With the use of a private safari vehicle, your day begins whenever you wish, whether you choose to set off before daybreak, or treat yourself to a lie-in. The rest of the day goes according to your schedule, heading back to the lodge for a midday break or staying out for a picnic meal in the heart of the African bush.

Our 4 x 4 Safari jeeps

Rugged four-wheel drive safari jeeps are almost invariably Toyota Land Cruisers, converted into safari vehicles by a specialized coachworks company. In East Africa (TanzaniaKenya, Uganda and Rwanda) this means that some of them are stretched to seat 7 instead of 5, the top of the windows is raised for a better panoramic view, and the roof is replaced by a large pop-up roof to allow you to stand up straight for a better view, and to film or take pictures. The safari jeeps come with a charging system connected to power sockets, and a fridge to keep your drinks cool. Wide window seats, with enough leg rooms. Some of the seats are adjustable with seat belts.

The safari guides.

Your safari guide, your safari companion.

Your safari guides will make sure that your trip will be an unforgettable experience.

Without exception, they are experienced, safe drivers who have the skills necessary to conquer the sometimes bumpy roads of your destination. Once you hit the road, you will be amazed at their powers of perception. At times, they seem to have 360-degree vision, and at a distance where ordinary people can make out nothing but a dot, they can identify an animal. We choose partners who invest a lot of time and energy in their annual training and refresher courses. They can tell you myriads of fun and interesting facts about the flora and fauna as well as about the local culture, customs, and traditions. Even though most of the guides will be natives, they are proficient in English and have excellent social skills. They will enrich your safari with their in-depth expertise, their jokes, and their good cheer whenever that is called for, and respect your privacy where appropriate.

The secrets of the bush will unravel in the company of your dedicated driver guide, who will spend time getting to know your special interests and will plan each day accordingly, while keeping in contact with the office. From birding and tracking to photography or wildlife research, each day will bring myriad surprises to delight and enthrall your every waking moment.

We as well as hire out the safari vehicles, in the company of our driver guides.
